HTML5 is a core technology markup language used for structuring and presenting content for the World Wide Web. As of October 2014 this is the final and 5th revision of the already exisitng HTML standard of the World Wide Web Consortium. The previous version, HTML 4, was standardised in 1997. The new version of HTML i.e. the HTML5 has many new syntactic features. These features are designed to make it easy to include and handle multimedia and graphical content on the web without having to resort to proprietary plugins and APIs.
