Freestyle Academy- Gamified Skill Progression App for Freestyle Footballers

Freestyle Academy turns freestyle football practice into a game, giving players a character, a skill tree built from 155 real tricks, and a ranking system that mirrors competitive esports leagues. The concept was developed by Emil Wyoscki, a freestyle footballer with his own YouTube tutorial channel, who mapped out the entire trick progression, scoring system and battle mechanics before bringing the idea to Promatics.

Promatics is building the mobile app that brings that vision to life for iOS and Android, turning Emil's skill tree diagrams, scoring tables and UI screens into a fully working game.

The Challenge

Emil came to Promatics with an unusually complete blueprint: four skill tree branches, Lower, Upper, Ground and Sit Down, covering roughly twenty tricks per level color, a five tier color and league ranking system, a battle mechanic with different scoring for red through green levels, and more than fifty designed screens covering everything from onboarding to the shop. The challenge for Promatics was to turn that library of trick trees, scoring tables and screen designs into one coherent mobile app, one where a trick unlocked in the skill tree, a completed daily challenge, a won duel and a coin earned in the shop all stay in sync with a single player profile. That meant building a flexible progression engine that could support an unusual mix of finite tricks in the Upper, Ground and Sit Down branches and infinite repetition based missions in the Lower branch, alongside a battle system that depends on a person, or eventually AI, judging submitted videos.

Skill Tree Progression Across Four Branches

Every player works through four skill tree branches, Lower, Upper, Ground and Sit Down, unlocking tricks one Skill Point at a time as they move through the five color levels. Locked tricks outside a player's current range show up grayed out, so there is always a sense of what is coming next without giving away the whole tree at once. Once a trick is unlocked, its tutorial and mission become available immediately, turning the tree into both a map of what to learn and a place to actually practice it.

Freestyle Academy is being transformed from a detailed freestyle football training and competition concept into a fully structured mobile gaming experience for iOS and Android.

Promatics has translated the client's predefined skill trees, scoring rules, progression mechanics, battle system and extensive UI designs into a unified application architecture. The platform connects skill progression, tutorials, missions, daily challenges, XP, coins, leagues, rankings, matchmaking, video submissions and rewards within a single player journey.

The solution is also being designed with future scalability in mind, including AI assisted video judging, community based verification and an expanding trick library. This allows Freestyle Academy to establish a strong foundation for competitive, repeatable and skill driven player engagement as the platform moves toward launch.
