MaintIQ - QR & AI Powered Industrial Maintenance Platform

MaintIQ is a QR and AI powered platform built to support industrial maintenance and design work. It lets technicians scan a QR code on a piece of equipment and immediately pull up structured documentation, signal flow diagrams and AI guided troubleshooting help, cutting out the guesswork that normally comes with diagnosing a complex electrical cabinet.

Promatics partnered with the MaintIQ client to build the MVP, using one demo facility and one demo electrical cabinet to prove out the core idea before it scales further, turning a detailed technical specification into working software.

MaintIQ needed a technology partner who could take a highly technical specification, built around a JSON model describing terminals, cables and functional connections, and turn it into a working web application. The platform had to support QR based equipment identification, a hierarchical facility to cabinet to device structure, and an AI reasoning layer built on the OpenAI API that could interpret that JSON model to explain signal flow and suggest troubleshooting steps. On top of that, the system needed to let authorized users generate entirely new cabinet designs from existing templates, with every AI generated output validated against the MaintIQ schema before it could be trusted.

QR-Based Equipment Identification

Every piece of equipment on the shop floor gets its own QR code, so a technician can scan it with a phone or tablet and land straight on the right cabinet or device. There is no more digging through folders or asking around for the correct wiring diagram. If a code does not map to anything in the system, the technician sees a clear error instead of a dead end.
